This was a good level of platformer with shooting for a horrible player like me. The shooting was very good, as in the animation and sound effect. I also liked that the sword slashing was purely movement of the mouse, since that's an interesting layer of difference from the other weapon choice.
The slime graphic is cute. Backgrounds and other arts are fine since the gameplay is the forefront of this, I assume.
There were moments I got stuck just a bit. I was expecting the tutorial to tell me how to open the door instead of reading it from the game description. Also, when I got to the skulls section, I shot at them to test if they were enemies. When they didn't die, I assumed they were just decorative, so I touched it and died. Could just be a me thing, though.

ZombieGhost responds:

Thank you for your review.
The skulls were made to be confusing. This short game was made to test my
beginner skills in programing. I know I would literally rework the game in
the future, but essencially this is my first step in the game development.
To be honest I think this game is worth a second opus.

I will figure what I can do in the future.

But one thing is sure, is that I will make more threatning enemies
and more puzzles. Maybe a boss battle if I can figure this out.

This gameplay is pretty interesting, using turn-based sequences to plan your position and the little modes of effect add a nice twist to change it up. Just a few seconds in and I see she fell into the hole in the classic Family Guy pose. Love it.

Glad you enjoyed!

The poetry voice is great!

Nice game as always and a holiday mainstay of NG. I have been trying to get onto the cafe roof for days. There seems to be a strange glitch on my end where my game immediately crashes when I go towards the door on the right wall of the cafe?

12/26/23 update, I found the following error in the developer tools:

when the game crashes press CTRL+SHIFT+I in your browser. it should show the developer tools, after that, click the "console" tab and let me know if you see any errors

Edit: shift, not alt

I love this concept and the different kinds of species that aren't just humanoids with different colors and horns!

NeuromancaEspa responds:

Our aim was the weird and whacky! Likes seriously, who else would consider: a mass of energy, an artistically rendered sphere, a body of slime, and a shadow spawn? Glad you enjoyed the game!

It is a very dynamic game, with pretty engaging graphics and a crazy mechanic. Unfortunately, the chaotic mouse controls made it harder for me when manipulating the blocks to stay on buttons I needed. They would pretty much hop every where unless positioned precisely next to me, and that made it more difficult to get through the timed levels because I would spend the whole minute throwing a box around and looking for new ones when I accidentally broke them due to random throws. If that is part of the design, then it is very challenging, but it also feels like I am subjected to the randomness of the gravity I do not control.

pollyanoid responds:

but you do control the gravity

Really nice, high-octane fighting game with great graphics and effects. Controls offer a lot of variety and dang is dodging a life saver. Freeplay was a good place to get the feet wet.
I'm assuming medals do not unlock on freeplay. But when I reach 25 combos in the main game, the medal does not unlock even after I refresh the game and play it again. Do you have to beat Tom to get the medals?

Spagato responds:

Yep ;) every medal is queued to unlock until Tombot is defeated. Freeplay doesn't unlock medals.

This has a nice and simple format and easy-to-understand goals. It's not as flowery with the story as PATAP but I found it a good time-killer. It has relatively less things to manage than some earlier games like the circus one, so I felt a lot more at ease playing.

kygron responds:

Thanks for the explanation! It's been hard for me to foreshadow later game play without exposing too much complexity too early.

Sometimes the angles on the game are not helping you see well so you keep dying over and over again.

PitoyGames responds:

you can move the camera with the right screen, just drag and move with left mouse button

This is relatively easier to understand and progress than an old house or circus for me. The problem is I've completed the rightward path twice now (leftward 0, rightward 7) but when the end screen pops up saying the medals should be unlocked, it doesn't.

kygron responds:

refresh. sometimes newgrounds logs you out of scoreboards if the game in sitting too long. If the achievement appears in the game's achievement window, it will resend on refresh.

I like Dungeons and Dragons
