So I got GIMP recently and I thought it was like a cheap version of Photoshop. Weird thing is that it can edit pictures, but it saves them as this weird .xcf file that can't be uploaded or anything because it's incompatible. Still figuring out how to convert it maybe. Otherwise, it really isn't that different from Paint albeit some weird tools I don't know how to use yet. Maybe I need a tutorial somewhere, then it'll start making sense.
Is it true you can animate with this?

It is possible to convert them. It's just that I forgot how to. I used GIMP before starting to use Photoshop CS6. Try searching around the "File" tab.
As for animating, I would like to know the answer too. :O
