My first thought was, "That is so true", but I've never lived in a city before, but from what I've seen, it sure seems that way. Regardless of how poor or rich the area is, and aside from the eccentrics, everyone behaves in a stereotypical manner befitting their area.
The same's true of suburbs and rural areas too, but at least there's more elbow room, and a faint smell of old American charity and pride... I have to move soon, and it's not been easy trying to find a small lot to farm/hunt/live on, there's also a red state/blue state schism at play too :p
